On Oct. 18, 2017, a seminar focusing on systematic creativity and TRIZ was held in Tianjin University. The lectures were given by four TJU students, who have attended summer school in Lappeenranta University of Technology in July supported by OIPEC. More than 30 faculties and students of Tianjin University interested in TRIZ attended the seminar.

The lectures included what the four students have learnt during the courses “Systematic Creativity-TRIZ Basics” and “Inventive Product Design and Advanced TRIZ” in LUT and also the different teaching methodologies and styles they have experienced. Contradiction and solutions, trimming, algorithm for function -oriented search and trends of engineering system evolution, etc. has been introduced during the seminar.

After learnt the teaching method in LUT, the four further trainers perform rather professionally during the workshop. Meanwhile, the teaching content is rich and interesting enough to promote students participating in group discussion and activities.

The seminar not only conveys advanced TRIZ knowledge to the students, but also introduces new teaching methodology to faculties of Tianjin University. This is the exact outcome that OIPEC expects.
