OIPEC consortium meeting took place at Lappeenranta in Finland for 2 days (3^rd and 4^th of October 2017) followed by an OIPEC workshop. The event took place at Lappeenranta University of Technology – LUT.

On the first day, the main goals of the meeting were to discuss COILabs set up and operations including OIPEC curriculum. COILabs structure was also formulated based on the common points of the business model/vision submitted by the individual partner university. The day ended with the discussion on Quality and Project management.

The first half on the second day was used for one to one discussions among partners to define detailed plan for tutoring activities and in finalising OIPEC curriculum. While the second half was used for the OIPEC workshop where many students, professors and company representative were present.  This was followed by the description of the design task and collaborated team working sessions of students and practitioners from industry in generating solution concepts. The consortium meeting and workshop ended with teams presenting their results and panel discussions on potential roles and features of the COILs.
