Consortium Meeting, July 18, 2018 – Milan

The meeting started at 9 am with the welcoming of the consortium members and addressing the agenda for day at PoliMi. The following topics for the day 1 were: updating OIPEC curriculum, status of the pilot training activities and an update on the website content (before the lunch break). The outcomes of the discussions were as follows:

  • Update on OIPEC-curriculum
    • Overall structure and list of learning units consolidated
    • Minor updates still needed (especially on references)
    • Translations and adaptations of educational materials
    • Handbook on how to deliver the training to the diverse target groups
      • Each partner has to appoint a reference person to build the list of guidelines for content delivery
    • Update list of pilot training activities with detailed reference to the OIPEC curriculum (see QA)
  • Estimation of ECTS/ECVET points
    • Learning Units of Module B have been defined and finalised
    • Also completed the task for Module A and C in this meeting.
  • Introduction to executive programme of OIPEC (See Appendix A)
  • Website modification discussion results:
    • Project results dissemination needs to be updated
    • The web-site needs to be more attractive to different target groups and would benefit from a better structure
    • Publish curriculum and guidelines, add link to published materials and links to external references
    • Add description of COILabs, in general an related to local implementations
    • Clarify what is more for academics and what is more for companies.

After the lunch break, the day was occupied by discussing the Quality assessment, project management and future pilot training activities in Russia and China.

  • Check what educational activities are published on the OIPEC web site and check if they are in the activities register; possibly add a link to the host university web site.
  • COILabs pilot activities in China (29 Aug 2018 –TJU+HEBUT)
    • Workshop: mechanism for the sustainability of COILabs
    • Actors: TJU and HEBUT staff involved in COILabs, TTC of TJU, OIPEC partners, companies representatives, government officers, leaders of training institutions
    • Activity:
      • presentation of OIPEC-COILab
      • Questions and discussion on COILabs functions and costs
      • IP management
      • Plan of actions to start COILab activities
      • Goal: define the COILab offer at TJU and at HEBUT for the above stakeholders
    • Plans for COILabs pilot activities in Russia
      • Pilot course on new product and service development at VISU (September-October 2018)
      • Initiatives for SMEs applying for Vladimir regional funds for product innovation (beginning of October 2018)
      • Seminar by Fabrice Forest at MSU (4-5 or 11-12 October)
      • Beginning of December COILab activities at MSU with new equipment (to be detailed)
  • Each university responsible of an item in the activities register should fill in the report form as required by the quality team.
  • Since some key activities for COILABs deployment and for ensuring their sustainability are still on going and will require 3-4 months more than what was originally planned, we will request a postponement of project conclusion to February2019
  • Among the activities, finalization of purchase of equipment at LMSU, its set-up and application to COILAB projects with companies is expected to be done by the end of the project:
  • Application to COILAB projects by January2019
  • The request for postponement shall include a declaration by LMSU concerning the latest execution of the above activities to ensure that all of them will be completely accomplished by the postponed end of the project, otherwise the cost of the equipment will not be considered as eligible.
